Ruslan Ernst Schafer

Ruslan is typically soft-hearted, positive, and pure, however after years of turmoil and regrettable decisions, he can also be depressed, weary, and too emotionally exhausted to feel good.
He's one who dislikes violence and will use it only as a last resort, due to the fact he genuinely aims to sort out differences or make a compromise. He wants the best for people and is not one to become spiteful, even when others are clearly mistreating him. He's not naive though, as he does has his limits. And it would be well cautioned not to push him to them.
Ruslan is also one to be quite curious and adventurous, oftentimes saying yes to opportunities without knowing what they might fully entail. This could mean grand adventures with serious drawbacks, fighting for a seemingly just side that had unforeseeable alliterative motives, or even just joining in on a simple spontaneous drinking game. However, once Ruslan does figure these things out, don't count on him sticking around for too long.
He can also be somewhat reckless and disorganized, however knows well enough that when an actual plan is in ordinance, it's time to be serious and work towards an absolute. Whether that's one constructed by him or not, he will always do his best to follow through and not disappoint, even if it means taking great risks for himself.
Ruslan can be overtly protective towards those who he cares for and will often times aid them if they're in need. He's definitely someone a friend could and should count on when troubled.
He's known to be extremely intelligent and practical, capable of understanding things such as complex social constructs, a great deal of regional flora and fauna, skillful swordsmanship techniques, and even impressive survival tactics among other things. He's also knowledgeable in herbal medicines, sewing and repair, and simple artistic craftsmanship.

Ruslan Has An Uncanny Soul; Meaning instead of having a soul of man, his has been replaced with that of a rooster's upon birth. Any spells or magical artifact that can be used to detect the souls of humanoids is rendered useless as all that can be noted is that of simple poultry.

Ruslan’s friendly and loyal travel companion!
Yelena is a creamed coated Borzoi with cider colored calico patterns and an age of 3.
Raised solely by Ruslan, Yelena is masterfully loyal and adores her traveling partner with all her heart as he does her. She is highly intelligent and shows a great understanding of protection for those who she cares for.
In a pinch, Yelena is trained to rush any who threaten Ruslan, mainly aiming to disrupt their advances, or altogether incapacitate their ability to fight.
Yelena also shows a great quality of motherly behaviors, such as licking wounds, cuddling up to children, and keeping a nose out for unwanted encounters. She is quite good at tracking, sensing individual’s intentions, and all around being an excellent communicator of interest for Ruslan; whether it be scouting or discovery.
Yelena is a kind canine with a soul full of understanding and compassion.
